Connect WhatsApp
This links the WhatsApp Business number you already use to Swalfy. It takes about two minutes.
1. Open Connect WhatsApp
From your dashboard, go to the WhatsApp page and select Connect WhatsApp.
2. Sign in and verify your number
A Meta window opens.
You need a Facebook account for this step: it is how Meta authorises every WhatsApp Business connection, on any platform, not something Swalfy chose. A personal account is fine, and Swalfy never sees your profile, friends or posts, only the WhatsApp Business account you choose. No Facebook account yet? Creating one takes two minutes and is used for nothing else.
- Sign in with Facebook (any account you own; a personal one is fine)
- Choose or create your WhatsApp Business account
- Add your phone number
- Verify it by SMS or call
The whole thing takes about two minutes.
3. Which number to use
The number must be able to receive an SMS or a call. It must not be an active personal WhatsApp: a number can only be on one WhatsApp at a time.
To move a personal number over, you first have to delete its WhatsApp account, which erases that account's chats. Keep that in mind before you start.
4. What your customers see
Nothing changes for them. Customers keep messaging the same number they always did, and Swalfy answers from it.
5. Disconnecting
You can disconnect any time from the same WhatsApp page in your dashboard.
